Finally a properly designed product.

Everything seemed easy, I just wanted to squeeze the juice out of a lemon. A few years ago we had one of those juicers that mount on a bowl or cup but it was a two handed offering and they slipped off so accidents sometimes happened. So we have an electric one, which is great if you're juicing bunches of lemons or oranges, but pulling out half a lemon every day isn't practical. We also have one of those expanders that works fine but is messy and still needs a screen to collect the seeds. So we went with the model that all TV chefs use, these yellow juicers. They're pretty counterintuitive, aren't they? You rotate the lemon, unlike a regular juicer, and then squeeze it really hard. Sure you leave quite a bit of juice behind, but you look just like a famous TV chef! When we noticed the yellow paint had chipped off the bowl, it was clear we must have eaten some of it. So we bought two more stainless steel versions that were just as difficult to compress and presented other issues which I checked. By this point I was done with all of them and was about to go back to my old wood reamer when I thought I'd do another search and this one came up. That's why it's perfect. They accounted for slippage and it has knurling to keep the reamer from spinning and they put a rubber ring on the bottom of the bowl to keep it from slipping. It's slightly wider at the top, so a lemon or lime expands when you squeeze it. There are two filters for collecting seeds, one when pressing and one when pouring, and the bowl has graduations so you can get accurate measurements for recipes. And that's smaller than any of our kitchen bowls. Thanks EZ Citrus Juicer folks. Simple product, perfect design.
