First of all, I have to say that the palette really looks a lot lighter. I was too lazy to adjust the light to get the best picture. lol. The blue and pink eyeshadows were shot indoors. Purple street view. I'm a makeup lover. One of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. I especially like it when you can get decent quality pallets at super cheap prices. There are 45 colors in this palette. They have brighter neon colors for more subtle everyday colors. When you have a palette with so many colors, three things are very important: pigmentation, blendability, and lift. You definitely need good pigmentation. You don't want to keep reapplying eyeshadow to get the color you want. This palette requires quite a bit of product to achieve good color payoff. You definitely need eyeshadow that blends. I had a couple of palettes where you put some eyeshadow on and it stuck like glue and you couldn't fix it, mix it, do anything useful with it, and it looked awful. Many years ago I learned to apply eyeshadow to my hand first so that if it didn't smear I didn't have to wipe it off my face and start makeup all over. This palette can be combined very well. Not so much that it dissolves quickly, which is just as bad, but in the right amount. It blends in but keeps the color. You definitely don't need rain. Who wants shadows to fall around the eyes and on the cheeks? If that's what you're looking for, it's awesome, but if it's not, you want an eyeshadow with the minimal fallout that this one has. Another cool thing is that they are water resistant. Not to mention they're difficult to remove, but if you get caught in the rain, you won't be left with smudged or runny eyeshadow. We get a lot of rain here so I'm looking for waterproof products for my collection. I even use foundation to swim. Yes, you can go swimming and the foundation will stay put. Overall I am very happy with the quality and functionality of this palette. Since it has everything from light to neutral colors, it's a great choice for travel. I can easily take 5 to 10 pallets with me when I travel. This one would cut mine by 3 to 4 which is good for me.
