I think most of this was said in relation to the instructions which are not as clear as they could be. but anyway. If you have some motorcycle air intake experience, you can figure it out pretty quickly. Installation was pretty easy and I paired it with a CV Performance Carb upgrade (deflector, emulsion tube, spring, idler and propeller), SE pads and a set of NGK resistor plugs. The 2006 FLST's low-to-midrange torque improvements were noticeable. Also fixed Idle Cough which was the main reason for upgrading to Tier 1 (I think that's what most HD sites call it). Did all the work myself and saved a bunch of $$$. Took a star off because one of the "notch" screws didn't seem to be as well machined as the other two and it was really difficult to install the air cleaner screw cleanly. After playing around with this I found that the way the threads were cut caused them to break when accepting the AC screw. It passed the initial install but will clearly cause problems every time I have to remove and clean the filter. At some point he undresses. So I called Arlen Ness direct and they will send out a new stop bolt free of charge as soon as possible. Now it's customer service! I read some reviews about this setup being "Made in China" but the filter says "Made in USA". Whenever I called Arlen Ness, there were always friendly Americans on the line. The customer service alone is worth the purchase as this is the best $100 first leg rig that my research has come up with!
