Review on ⚡ Power Up Safely with Amazon Basics Rotating Wall Mount Surge Protector - 1080 Joules by Rob Madden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The rotating extension cord is convenient for home appliances.

I'm an electrical engineer with 30 years of experience; All of these opinions are my own experience. I have two extension cords in my bed. The RevainBasics Pivoting Power Strip will not shut off power when it can no longer protect your device, but will provide a low clamping voltage. This is a highly flexible and adaptable surge protector with a 6ft cord and ground indicator protection. It has 6 sockets and two USB ports for charging. If you need two extra outlets, you can check out the AXTRA Extension Cable with 8 outlets and USB ports. Lightning struck our roof last week, the AXTRA power strip protected all our electronic devices such as printer, wireless router and laptop. And the last detail - a long power cord, at least 8 feet - a must with surge protection. This is because, for safety and power reasons, you should plug the surge protector directly into a wall outlet and not into another surge protector (do not use a daisy-chain extension cord). Because you can plug so much power into a device with multiple outlets, it's very easy to overload what you're daisy chaining your surge protector with, which can result in product failure or electrical fire. You must also plug the surge protector into a properly grounded three-prong outlet.

Pros
  • WALL MOUNT: Wall mount for convenience and compactness
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
