This is the worst product design. In no case do they stick by what they owe. Perhaps they would hold in place better if the top was worn over the dewclaw pad. You can't even tie them tight enough without feeling like you're cutting off the blood circulation in the dog's paw. Putting them on a dog will get you lots of patience points in heaven. They're not easy to install. Luckily my dog is completely accommodating and lets me do everything but most dogs are a bit on their feet so good luck if you have resistance from Fido. I liked the idea of a simple, soft leather cover, but it didn't work.
