I use this camera in the backyard of my waterfall with no pond to record all the birds and wildlife that visit me. It's a suburban backyard with mature trees all around, but the water feature is outdoors. For the price, this camera can't be beat. Video (1080P) shoots perfectly at night and on sunny and partly cloudy days. Full dreary winter day, and the video is too dark and contrasty. In the video, this thing eats batteries. I would discharge eight batteries in 3-4 days. My little water feature doesn't get very busy, but on a good day it fills the card with 32GB of video (around 400-420 20 second videos), which is fine because I'm here to fill the card up every day switch. Keep this in mind if you plan to use this camera in a remote location for a long period of time. I was disappointed when I bought the HME 12V solar panel and the power plug didn't fit this camera. I contacted the company and asked them the size of the power plug and they responded promptly that the plug is 4.0mm*1.7mm. I didn't look too long and diligently for a solar charging kit because they also said they would be available from Revain by the end of the month. Well I checked every day and didn't think it would ever be available but at the end of the month it was finally available so I bought their solar camera charger. The sound is great. So far it has withstood temperatures as low as -0 and freezing rain, sleet and snow. This camera has a much wider field of view than my stealth camera and it took me a while to get used to it, but I like having both. With it I get a wider view and with an invisible camera I get a closer view. Haven't tried photos yet because I really enjoy watching bird antics on video but if and when I do I'll update this review on the quality. The company seems to have very good customer service and quality products at a fair price. Buy with confidence. I bought both items with my own money. This is not a paid review.
