Review on DT Swiss Mountain Freehub Standard by Scott Clark

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as a replacement for the DT Swiss 240 hub shell

The DT Swiss 240 hub shell on my road bike was aluminum and therefore the Shimano 9/10 cassette (6700 series) was constantly splined. This created a slight wobble, which in turn produced a noticeable rumble when driving over bumpy roads. It also made my shifting less precise. After some experience grinding the clutch's splines to remove the damaged metal, I read about this steel clutch housing and decided to give it a try. Now I ride it for about a month and 1000 miles like a perfect replacement for the 240s and boom, all the noise is gone. I don't mind bad roads (mostly the oily and pitted roads that often ruin great country roads). I'm glad I made the purchase.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
