I bought this light rain jacket for my husband to wear on our trips to rainy Florida. He hates wearing a jacket because its so hot in the summer but also doesn't like being wet so I thought we would give this a try. It is very lightweight and does not feel heavy or hot and does protect from wind and rain. We tested it during a light rainstorm at home and it did protect from rain. It does claim to be made from waterproof fabric but at same time product description says "rain resistant" which are markedly different things. While we didn't have a heavy rainstorm to verify if it truly waterproof from all kinds of rain I am confident this will work for what we purchased it for. It has draw strings at neck and waist and bottom and rolls up into a nice small cylinder so its easy to pack and unpack. My husband said he was pleased with it.
