Cannot predict the claimed battery life.
Installed several alarms in my home where needed to prepare it for sale to comply with Massachusetts regulations. This non-removable battery operated 10-year sealed talking carbon monoxide and smoke alarm combo was easy to install and set up, and complied with applicable Massachusetts laws for the age of my property. I found it to be a very good value at $34.99 each with a list price of $54.99 and a much cheaper price than all local alternatives on Cape Cod. Free shipping came within 4 days. Since I'm not at home for 10 years when the battery is empty, I only gave the battery 3 stars.
