This filter is very heavy right out of the box which I personally think is a good thing. It definitely looks and feels like a quality product. My previous filter was purchased from a major auto parts store and was much thinner, had no activated carbon and was much more expensive. I installed this new filter in my work truck which smelled a bit like cattle. I drove with the AC on for a few days and circulated the cabin air and soon noticed that the smell was gone. Of course, there is always a root cause of odors, such as the smell of food, wet clothes, plastic exhaust from the cabin, but as long as you have a quality filter to actively remove these odors while driving, it won't bother you. until you can solve the problem. Not to mention that it helps in cleaning all the air coming in from the outside.
