5 reasons why this is the best power strip for the home office

If you're like me your home office has one of those brick power strips, maybe more than one because the outlets are too few and too close together. A lot of devices and chargers have that fat transformer at the end of the plug that takes up more than one outlet and turns an extension cord into a confusing Tetris game. But not anymore! 1. This 3ft extender provides plenty of space between each outlet. No more unnecessary, unused sockets. What you buy is what you get – 12 points of sale. Not that buying 12 gets you 7 useful outlets with a regular power adapter. The extra space also helps with separating and organizing cords, and yes, I use all 12 outlets.2. The outlets are oriented to the side, not choo choo train style. About 80 percent of the plugs on my devices run parallel to the outlets, so spacing is maintained better since they face to the side. End outputs can be reserved for these side plugs.3. The sockets are well made and hold the pins of the connector firmly. When mounted upside down under the table, the transformer plugs do not fall out. On my old power strip I had to tie the transformers together to hold them in place. Easy assembly with four screws, two on each end. None of this, make a template, drill perfectly spaced holes, set the screws to the correct depth, wiggle the power supply until the holes match, then remove it and adjust the screws further and try again. 5. This extension includes 1800 joules of surge protection. This is crucial for the electronics. A thick 14 gauge 15 foot cable is good but a little overkill. I only need 3-6 feet. Probably 9-12 feet is enough for most people. But wait a minute, that's what ties are for. When you look at those long extension cords, check the plug orientation and surge protection. You can't compare cheaper ones. So I think this is the best extension cord for the home office. Very satisfied and highly recommended!
