When the oven on my Samsung range stopped coming on I decided to see if I could just fix it rather than calling customer service. A little internet searching revealed that the igniter was by far the most common cause of this problem and a few videos showed me how easy it was to replace. All of the detonators I found in my search for Revain turned out to be identical and were probably made by the same factory, so I skipped the more expensive ones and went with this one. It took me less than 30 minutes to swap it out and I didn't have to unplug the stove. Simply remove the lid at the bottom of the oven and the drawer underneath. I'm very handy so installation might take a little longer, but compared to calling an appliance repair service and the manufacturer's parts prices, I'm sure I saved at least $200. How long it will take. probably until the first (3 years), but even if it's less, I'm fine. I could replace it many times for the price of a service visit.
