For my old tools, this was a very economical introduction to punching. The wire is a little lighter for 1/4" HD perforated board. The wire diameter is between 3/16" and 1/8". Closer to 1/8" than 3/16" as stated by the manufacturer in the question and answer. For my purposes, however, it is completely sufficient. I wanted to hang up all my old tools so I can remember who owned them when I look at them. There will be no daily access to them. I have several full 3/16" hooks with 1/4" stabilizers that are very strong compared to these, but these are good enough. So nice to have all the hooks I need to set it up cheaper than Hamilton.
