Great replacement rear speaker for C5 Corvette

I have always strived for sound quality in my cars and have had many custom speakers and setups over the years. Rarely lately because most cars can't accept the new system without a lot of work. I view them based on the installed machine; Depending on your vehicle you may have crossovers/things that can affect the performance they get and these speakers may not be the right choice for you. The C5 has crossovers/amplifiers in the doors, but the rears are powered entirely by the main unit.1. These speakers are perfect for the C5 hatchback with targa roof. Easy install in about 30 minutes, just remove the grille with a screwdriver, take off the old speakers (it's difficult to get the top screw out without removing the plastic trim, but I was able to with a little grease on my elbow. I only used 3 of the 4 screw holes due to difficulties with this top one but the other 3 were reasonably reliable 2. They are a fantastic sounding replacement and match the factory release head unit very well.Tested with TOOL's "Eulogy" at a very loud volume , no distorted bass is actually pretty impressive for what it is it sounds perfectly clear 3. Be sure to order the Metra speaker harnesses that fit GM vehicles for ease of installation $3 save you a lot sooner I have bought components from Polk, Kicker and Pioneer 3-way speakers There have been many systems over the years but I think ic h should have looked at JBL back then, because uh that's an incredible value. for the money and you don't sacrifice sound quality. **Update** A new 2-DIN Kenwood (nothing special. Junior model without touchscreen but with HD radio and front USB) was installed so I could get rid of the external bluetooth adapter. As before, these speakers are ideally suited to work with a head unit amplifier (probably more powerful than the previous ones) and do not require external amplification.
