I bought these rollers at first thinking they would react with toner but the hard experience is that they don't. So I was disappointed and they sat in a drawer for months while I thought about what I could use them for. Fast forward to Christmas - I have a foil tip - in case you don't know, it's a small pen that heats up via a connected USB cable. Pen camera with a tiny roll of foil paper and I tried it on a few sheets of paper and it was just blotchy and didn't work properly. Then the light went out and I remembered those rolls of foil. I cut out some leaves, laid them down and used an overhead marker over them and WOW it worked AMAZING. They are so smooth and firm that no stains remain as on the foil supplied. I'm so excited about all the possibilities and how many things I can foil now!
