Review on πŸ”§ Crankbrothers M19 Multi-Tool: The Ultimate Cycling Companion, Complete with Protective Case by Sam Faucher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

4 years later still a great multi tool.

My M-19 has been in the field for 4 years now and I use it 4 times a year, sometimes more depending on the terrain and equipment. It's primarily used for recreational riding, so I wasn't overly concerned with size or weight, just functionality. Granted, I didn't even need most of the tools, but in an emergency I'd rather have them and not use them than need them and not have them. Not just for me, but for anyone out there who might need help. The tool itself is well built and surprisingly light considering its size. The tools I used/needed did their job effectively, if a little clumsily at times. Not perfect, but multitools are not workshop tools. Sometimes the length of the tools and the scope of the device is a blessing, sometimes a limitation. At the end of the day, it's about getting the job done, and that has always been the case for me. In order not to damage such tools, make sure that they are not overloaded. If your bolt doesn't move with adequate hardened steel force, you'll need more tools or more lube (and less starting torque). I have seen some complaining about this case. I've never had a problem with it. The tool fits in perfectly, and the lid can be a 5 second chore at first, but after a few openings it's not even a thought. In fact, these years, although it still remains closed alone, the ease of its removal worries me almost more. I think I paid $26 for it when I bought it and have no regrets about the cost.

Pros
