Nice and durable and I would love it except for a few things. The blades are slightly offset from the slots that the blades enter, so sometimes they don't close completely. A little pressure on the sides flattens it out and the blades slide into the slots. It doesn't happen every time, but enough to be annoying and there might only be one slicer that looks like it. Another problem is that it mashes the mushrooms instead of slicing them if the mushrooms aren't quite fresh. Blade lubrication helps with cutting. Fresh button mushrooms are quick and easy to slice and are a great tool to keep on hand. I buy uncut mushrooms in bulk and chop them up before putting them in the fridge.
