Decent compact solution
I had no idea softboxes were so expensive until I saw people happily buy this $60 softbox. As for value for money I think it's a good deal as you get a softbox and a grille. The softbox is not that thick. So when the light source is very bright, you still see the shape of the light, which means the light isn't as diffuse as you probably want it to be. The attraction here is the compactness of the solution. Someone mentions that it would be better if it was thicker or deeper. I agree with both. I ran a simple light test based on no diffusion, diffusion, and diffusion with mesh.
