This system was fairly easy to install in my situation as I already had a 3/8 pipe. I bought this unit to replace my existing filtration system which had a very low flow rate. It should also be noted that I have a special faucet. The best advice I can give for installation is to purchase 2W lead-free compression adapters, Home Depot part number #LFA-123. These adapters make it easy to attach the 3/8 hose to the head of the filter unit. First attach the adapters, then proceed to connect the pipes and taps. Buy a good quality 3/8 pipe. Because every installation is different, it's difficult to predict every installation problem. As far as the performance of this system is concerned, we are very satisfied. The flow rate is strong and powerful. We can fill our 64oz water jug in just a few seconds! The water is crystal clear and tastes great. If you've never done plumbing before, don't try to do it yourself. Get a plumber. I can do it myself and was able to complete the installation in about an hour. The hardest part was working in the base of the sink at floor level.
