A quality under sink water filter would be ideal if a 'installation kit' was included (see my pics for tips!)

I bought this 3M 3MFF100 under sink water filtration system to use with a 3M MWF refrigerator filter and Watts WH-LD Premier for the whole house filtration system. My house was built in the mid 20th century so the pipes are galvanized which causes scale in our lines. I expect nothing less than high quality from 3M, so of course it was clean and safe tap water. This kit would be perfect if 3M added a base installation kit that would suffice for most under counter installations. Hell, pack aโ€ฆ

very short filter life

I bought this system, water tastes good when it works. I was still struggling with the mud dropping the water nozzle. I couldn't believe the filter was already full since the spec says 6000 gallons. We're a family of two and only use this filter for drinking water, maybe a few gallons of water a day if I'm being generous. I can't get any of these filters to last more than 3 months. And with a 3 month lifespan and 6000 gallon capacity, that works out to 65 gallons a day that we drink. Is itโ€ฆ

Best filtration system in my opinion

This system was fairly easy to install in my situation as I already had a 3/8 pipe. I bought this unit to replace my existing filtration system which had a very low flow rate. It should also be noted that I have a special faucet. The best advice I can give for installation is to purchase 2W lead-free compression adapters, Home Depot part number #LFA-123. These adapters make it easy to attach the 3/8 hose to the head of the filter unit. First attach the adapters, then proceed to connect theโ€ฆ
