I ended up finding my best setting with the volume on the FX around 1-2 hours Treble at 11 Bass at 11:30 I keep the AudioEngine speaker volume at 95 % I control the volume with m an iPhone. I'm genuinely amazed at how lusty and full of zeros female vocals (think Diana Krall on Like Someone In Love) are. sharpness or harshness. Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown" in HiRes sounds fantastic. The acoustic guitar sounds very articulate, and his vocals! Wow. You will find yourself listening to a genre you may not have noticed. That's what makes an audiophile. This is a quest! For me it feels very good to invest 40 dollars in it. It's completely quiet. zero noise. My active speakers are powered by my own AB amp so the sound is very clear. I'd be lying if I said I didn't need a $5,000 hi-fi setup or a dedicated headphone setup. I always felt like my system would never be THAT perfect, but let me tell you, even my wife noticed the difference! A little miracle in itself. Get that, but also get the 7-pin GE JAN 5654W. turn it on Leave it for at least 48 hours. As long as you have a decent source and network, you can expect a difference you never thought such a small investment could make.
