I bought this antenna to connect an external 1090MHz antenna to a FlightAware ADS-B receiver. The 50 foot coax was not ideal but was necessary because my antenna is on the roof of a two story house and I didn't want my PiAware receiver to be visible in the basement. Cables and connectors make a solid impression. Since I'm not a radio amateur, I can't judge the signal loss subjectively. However, I'm happy with the amount of position reports I'm getting, including over 250 miles each day, so I think the signal going to the receiver should be pretty clean.
