I have cats; someone who likes to chew on cables, especially the plastic covers in the connector area. The other day it was gnawing through another of my 90 degree cords so I found this one with a metal base. First, the base at 90 degrees is much more recessed than any others I've tried. It fits very securely and is very snug against the base of the phone so the connector doesn't move even if you accidentally tug on the cord. This is the most secure connection I've ever found on a Samsung phone. Plus it fits a variety of cases - mine is one of those aluminum frames that screw onto the phone and the cable connector can work with the rubber cover on the case. The cable is very long, so you can move freely while relaxing, and when you look at the phone from different angles, the plug does not unplug. I will be ordering 3 more packs right away to give some as gifts! :)
