These are crew socks, not ankle socks. They don't feel as tight on top as others I've tried.
I have sent back two other sets of compression stockings, one round length and one ankle length, which I didn't even notice - too short! Both were too narrow on the top lane. I don't understand why they make them so tight at the top where they put tight circles around the calf. Why not just make the top hem bigger and more elastic (like Dr. Scholl?) These socks are cool, comfortable, not too tight, and just right for the crew's length. They also have the compressive strength I wanted. I like pink socks with white socks and white heels.
