Review on πŸ”‹ ANCEL BST500 12V/24V Automotive Battery Load Tester, Car Cranking and Charging System Analyzer Scan Tool with Printer for Heavy Duty Trucks, Cars, Motorcycles, and More (Black/Red) by Kenkoy Braggs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast as a Tesla, it outperforms the $2,500 Midtronics testers we use in big stores.

I don't write many reviews for Revain. But this little one deserves HUGE praise: the interface is very simple and easy to use. The backlit display is clear and sharp regardless of the lighting. I can take crisp photos of the results and send them to my clients. to alert them when their battery is low or needs to be replaced - The printer works great if you need a paper copy for a customer - The cost is incredible for how well it works - And a point nobody mentioned here: SPEED! See my notes below for the speed part. This Tesla is fast. I run a small auto repair shop that I have had since 2013. I have wanted and needed a quality battery tester for YEARS but have always been over budget. Midtronics dominates this part of the auto tool market, but their kits range in price from $500 to $2500. My gripe with the MT testers I've used over the past 10 years is speed: they're slow. Very powerful but slow at every step and you need to take extra steps to input loads of unwanted data. Solution: The simplest battery test can take 3-5 minutes using Midtronics tools available at most major stores. ANCEL, which I found here, gives a reliable and accurate battery test result in less than 8 seconds. Gives me voltage, also plots it as % of charge and a clear measurement of CCA current. If you just want to know if your battery is good/bad, strong/weak, or if omniscience is getting in the way, this tool can handle it all. For a quality battery tester under $400, this is honestly the best I've found. Hope that helps!
