Broke my dryer and nearly killed me

This dryer adapter cord completely burned my dryer and shook me to death when I plugged it into the wall. The adapter easily connects to the dryer cord and outlet. I figured it would be an easy fix for a 3-pin dryer cord and 4-pin outlet. But when I plugged the dryer's cord into the adapter, and then plugged the adapter into an outlet....ZAP! I was electrocuted with 220 volts. Also, the motor made an awful noise when the dryer was turned on. Dryer is almost new, before that there were no problems. The machine mechanic said it would cost too much to fix. So I had to buy a new $1,000 dryer! Do not buy this adapter. Just install a brand new cable.
