This review assumes you want to connect a DVI monitor to a DisplayPort video card, not a DVI video card to a DisplayPort monitor as that is my current configuration. I recently got a new graphics card that only had one DVI output, one HDMI output, and three Displayport outputs. Because of the nature of my work, I have three screens. Two DVI compatible and one HDMI only. I needed to get my 3rd display back and this is exactly what allows me to connect a DVI to DisplayPort monitor to my graphics card with no issues as if it was the way it was supposed to be all along. The picture is as good as any other DVI picture and it's as simple as plugging both ends into the appropriate connectors. There are also no problems with the screen type recognition. The cable feels solid in my hands and the DVI side of the cable is very thick and wide. The DisplayPort side of the cable also looks well made. Would recommend especially if you are on a tight budget like I was at the time of purchase. I even bought two more for other projects. Now I also recommend this cable brand to all my customers when they need a converter; because they just work.
