. I never bought one of these and wasn't sure what to expect when I got these, but the texture is like fish scales. and fish scales made of sandpaper. This is a wonderful, spiky, amazing scrubber that lathers better than any washcloth I've ever used and rinses out faster. It also dries almost instantly with a good spin. I still don't know how others compare but based on the pictures I thought it was just a strip of cheap terry cloth. I was wrong and it was worth every penny!
