I bought it for my new HP computer and it fits perfectly. The picture is sharp and clear. The sound is decent if you don't want to use this screen as an entertainment center. Sometimes I've noticed that some of the movies I'm watching are too quiet and I turn the screen on all the way, just like a computer. But I love that you don't need speakers taking up extra space to play sound from your computer. so for me it's the same.
