MBP 2020 13" can only run two external monitors (one 1080 for me, the other 1440) with an Intel chip, this device allowed me to connect a third display ( 1080 ) which uses USB instead of a graphics chip. Please note that the driver CD is not supported on macOS. Just download the DisplayLink drivers directly from the DisplayLink website. After installing the drivers you can connect your monitor but it is blank. You then want to open Displays on Mac and will be prompted to allow DisplayLink Manger to "capture this screen" - allow these permissions, restart DisplayLink Manager and your display should work.
