Beach hike through the caves

I went on a hike to the northernmost tip of Okinawa recently. I parked my car about 1.5 miles from the secluded beach where I planned to camp. I packed a 4 person tent, 2 camp chairs, a tarp and various camping gear for the last two nights. I started my beach hike when the backpack weighed over 25 pounds and the uneven sand was not very comfortable but not unbearable. It seemed pretty balanced if you use the straps and pack it right. I positioned my sleeping bag to protect my back. I went through several caves that had about 3ft of water and light surf, at one point I tripped and completely submerged my backpack in the water, when I got to camp I checked all my gear and was relieved to still see all my gear is dry and the bag itself is undamaged. After the hike I was impressed with the bag as a whole. My only issue, which was minor, was the seat belts connecting the back straps to the pockets, which kept coming undone when my bag wasn't full.
