Good bag, reasonable price

We bought this bag to carry an inflatable surfboard and we were not disappointed. A well made, sturdy bag with a reasonably comfortable detachable strap system. If the manufacturer is reading this, future versions should have a vertical strap.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Not durable at all

Not durable. Only used a few times and the skin is already torn in random places all over the place. Always place on smooth surfaces or hang from a hook by the top fabric loop. The floor comes loose after a few walks through and through. The build quality is terrible. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Good

120 liter dry bag failed on first delivery

I ordered this through Sealine because of the bad reviews about the quality of the Sealine backpack system. Well, this system is also of poor quality. During my first transfer on a 34-day canoe trip, one of the supports on the hip belt broke. Had to outfit it with a bungee cord to complete the ride. And since I carried it three times early in my trip, the bag only weighed about 45 pounds at the time of the accident. Not much weight for a 120 liter backpack.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

It might be cheaper there but it's a good package

This is a great package for going into frontier waters and tossing in the back of a pickup truck. I received my backpack just in time to make my way to the border waters. Luckily I wasn't able to test the dive. But I left him outside my tent and he's survived a few good storms. A storm brought hail and wind. The contents of my package stayed dry and beautiful. I think it's a little overpriced and the aluminum clips came loose while not in use as I expected from some of the other reviews. Aside…

If you are canoeing then this is what you need!

After taking some time to learn how to pack it, it easily fits in all your gear! It's all about filling in the gaps with smaller items. It's so easy to put your large items in and then you have 4 inch dead space cubes all over the bag. The straps are very comfortable. The aluminum clips are great. The material is durable, it made me nervous when I first loaded some of my items with sharper metal edges, but no more. This material just doesn't wear out. In addition to the 15" x 15" kayak cargo…

For the price you are buying Waters Border Pack

I bought this pack in 2017 and expected it to last for many years like some Water Border Packs I've bought before. I canoe a lot, so I always use large waterproof backpacks. Cons: My first issue with this backpack is that the straps that connect it to the bag easily come loose after you lower the bag so you have to keep reattaching it. The second problem is that at the top of the bag where the rubber seals are, they have already started to separate 2 or 3 inches in two different places. I've…

Beach hike through the caves

I went on a hike to the northernmost tip of Okinawa recently. I parked my car about 1.5 miles from the secluded beach where I planned to camp. I packed a 4 person tent, 2 camp chairs, a tarp and various camping gear for the last two nights. I started my beach hike when the backpack weighed over 25 pounds and the uneven sand was not very comfortable but not unbearable. It seemed pretty balanced if you use the straps and pack it right. I positioned my sleeping bag to protect my back. I went…
