It works, but not as easily and smoothly as you think
Mine arrived in the canal with broken rubber bands. I'm not sure if this is part of the design. The contoured fingers are also very flexible. I think that negatively affects the accuracy. There's a little more tension than necessary, and fingers flex when trying to measure. It's not too bad on the ground, but when used without a rim for stabilization it wobbles. Finally, there are pointed edges on both sides. I think slipping under the cut joint. I think one side needs to be blunted.
