Charcoal filters are ok - no alkaline taste
Charcoal filters are ok - about as good as a Britta or similar. I really can't taste the alkaline taste which is the main reason I bought it as I wanted the "spring water" taste in filtered water. Good thing it fits perfectly in my 18 cup pure dispenser. But I got it from Revain storage (still sealed) for $4.50 so can't complain.
