It fits exactly as expected. It was cozy but still had room for more layers. However, I ordered a medium (my normal size) and it restricted movement, as did the fitted blazer. It was super functional with SO MANY pockets. The easy release fleece was very comfortable and I would definitely wear it to the office every day. The hood is fully detachable, but I didn't see a way to roll it up into the collar. At the bottom of the coat and in the hood there are drawstrings and cuffs with Velcro. The only reason I had to return it was because I expected it to be longer so it could be used for a clumsy snowboarder like me. I knew if I used it for snowboarding, the snow would come out from underneath. Also, there are no zip loops to attach the jacket to pants to further prevent snow seepage through. However, the quality of the jacket seemed good and it would have held up had I actually lived in a cold climate all season. FYI, I'm 5 feet. 7 inches, 145 pounds. When worn, the jacket ended up right at the top of my butt, and any rotation of the arm more than 45 degrees lifted the jacket.
