Very compact mic that fits my modified akaso v50x great

I removed the internal mic from my akaso v50x and used its connectors to plug it into the 3.5mm jack for access on aftermarket external microphones. The v50x's audio processor seems a bit limited, so no matter what microphone you plug into it, it won't be able to produce a wide dynamic range of audio. I read some reviews on this mic that said it was too hot. That's why I packed it. When I use it on my v50x it is NOT too hot. I've done very limited testing with it because I've just plugged it in and assembled the camera, but I think it's a great little mic and I can't think of anything bad to say about it. The good thing is that it's small. . Once plugged in, the mic itself only sticks out 3/4″, which is great for tucking into the side of a tiny action cam. It doesn't have a hinge to pivot the mic in a specific direction, but after the few minutes of testing I've had with it, the mic is indeed omnidirectional. I get the same level of sound no matter which direction the mic is pointing at me, so I see no need to rotate it. , the pivot increases the volume and gives the microphone another spot to break. The microphone diameter is about 3/8 inch. It does exactly what I was looking for in an action camera mic. I can't comment on the quality of the noise cancellation as I haven't tested it with a lot of ambient noise. It's a $27 mic. I don't expect this to get super complicated. I was looking for a compact mic that would produce decent sound and be fairly durable, and this mic seems to have all three of those qualities.
