Review on Betty Dain Hair Funnel: Comfortable Upright Shampooing Solution for Elderly, Handicapped, or Those with Neck Problems, Diverts Water into Bowl/Sink by Eric Hay

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits snugly on the head and a small flaw in the design. But it works!

Got this for my bedridden mom who HATES being pulled into the shower chair by her caregivers. At one of the nursing homes she attended, the salon used her to wash her hair and it worked great. But when this arrived and I tried to wash my mum's hair there were two problems with it: it was so tight it must have been uncomfortable (and my mum doesn't have a big head. sighed and said boy that was tight, but I didn't mean to complain) and then the part going down the sink was sewn up too high (hard to explain) but you don't want the "tail" part going into the sink to be flat , because the water runs down the sides to the bottom so the sides of the tail are sewn together leaving a 3 inch hole in the base for water to drain. But it's sewn too far up towards the base of the head, making it very uncomfortable, so I tore out about 4 inches of the sewn portion and sewed together only about 2 inches at the bottom, which makes it much easier to use. I currently have it wrapped around a bowling ball. try to tighten the rubber band around the head.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best
