Works fine for connecting Apple TV to my old Samsung DLP TV at 730p/1080i.

This converter is easy to install. Power and HDMI from Apple TV on one side and 5 component cables on the other. Works fine when I connect an Apple TV to my 15 year old Samsung DLP (720p/1080i) TV with a broken (and only) HDMI input. . At first there was no picture or sound, I had to press the button several times to select the correct mode. Picture and sound are perfect. Another converter I tried didn't work. I am very happy that this product exists. I can keep my old TV.
