Review on πŸ• XiaZ 50ft Dog Tie Out Cable: Portable Camping Trolley System for Dogs up to 200lbs by Mariah Garrett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Basic but strong enough for a big strong dog

Works exactly as described. It looks almost identical to another company's portable hanging dog wagon that I first saw at my local camping supply store, but it was sold out everywhere I looked. I bought it hoping it would be and so far it has lived up to my expectations. I was looking for a safe way to tie my large 90 pound, untrustworthy dog on a leash to avoid him running around pestering all the treats (Large piranhas is French for "great on display") , but he keeps getting tangled in the usual stretches or he can pull the anchor out of the ground at any time. This is a great way to give him some freedom next to our campsite or picnic table for a while while we have our hands free for camping or cooking. As long as you have 2 trees or other solid vertical objects to wrap around, this works fantastic. On one drive we actually tied it between my car (door jamb) and a tree and even though it was closer to the ground it still worked great. There is a strong double locking carabiner that slides along the rope and is easy to get. Leash/long leash but strong enough that it didn't break even when my dog pulled it off the run. (Important note: if it's not already obvious, don't attach this to a collar, attach it to a well-fitting harness so she doesn't break her neck on her stomach, which is *slightly* tighter than her, as she runs and pulls chest, it is much more difficult for them to slip out of this type of harness.) Once he learned that the rope was strong enough that he could not loosen it, as if he were using cable ties attached to the ground, he stopped trying to pull it as soon as he struggled and just gave in and stayed on the leash along the rope. Hooray! Now I can go camping and do other things than keeping my dogs on a leash all the time while everyone else enjoys the hike. At the moment the rope seems to be holding up well to the constant friction of a carabiner running across it, and it doesn't stretch much when tightened. It got wet, I washed off the dirt, tuned it a few dozen times and it's still in excellent condition. The whole thing is lightweight and packs very compactly into the included storage bag, making it easy to stow in my car at all times. The bright orange rope has reflective properties, which is very useful at night. If you leave it installed in your camp, you will see it in the faintest light of a lantern or even the moonlight. We've received many questions and compliments about this at the campgrounds we've been to from other people who are looking for a safe and easy way to keep a large dog around, especially if you don't always have a leash in hand and can carry a large dog crate for 90 lb dog. every journey is difficult, if not impossible. This would make a great gift for those who camp with their dog. 5/5 stars from me and 4/4 paws from my dog Falkor who is probably thrilled that he can now go hiking with me more often if I can keep him close by.
