When I first put the hat on it was beautiful and flattering. Unfortunately, after a while, the back part buckled and the hat rose, creating the effect of a cone-shaped head. If you look at the hats from the 1920s, of which this one is a copy, you will see that they were designed with the back cut higher than the front and squared off to prevent this. I sewed the back to get this shape and now it fits perfectly. I get a lot of compliments for that. I have a small head so maybe people with bigger heads than me don't have this issue but I thought it was worth mentioning.
