Figuring out how to install it where I did it was a bit of a chore because I installed it next to the pickup truck cab on the body, rear facing. The screws to tighten the lantern at a certain angle were difficult to access due to my position, but I bent a cheap wrench and installed it. Plug it into a simple momentary switch (tailgate/high beam) and it's BRIGHT! I turned him on early in the morning with the high beams on to some jackal behind me and I'm not kidding, I saw stains on his headliner, the interior of his car glowed so brightly. I was amazed at how well it worked for the money! The light is fairly directional, not much "area" is illuminated, but depending on where the light was directed it was unrealistic :)
