This is a very sturdy unit and I enjoyed using it as it had a soup and rice function but is very small for the price. On the other hand, I live with four other people, so maybe I just thought it wasn't enough. Cooking was quick and efficient as it has a steam tray for vegetables, but the rice would dry out if left on the keep warm function for any length of time. Although this machine is very versatile, it's designed for quick and easy meals rather than assisting them. It's also possible that I would have left the stewed vegetables with rice, I haven't tried it without it. So I suggest adding more water if you plan on leaving the rice for long periods of time or anything like that. It's cute and easy to use, you press the "cook" button and it cooks the rice with no problem, the numbers are for a delay, like you're coming home late and want it to cook at a specific time becomes. My only other issue is that the coating seems difficult to clean, so I suggest soaking it in soapy water.
