When this item arrived I was very disappointed. The strap was thin and narrow. The clasp was small. I have a strong little dog who has snapped multiple leashes in the past and once nearly knocked over a 300+ pound friend. I decided to return it so as not to risk breaking it and breaking free. One thing led to another, and in the end I kept the lead. I check it every day for wear or tears, and I also check the clasp for signs that it might break. Surprisingly, the little sofa badger has endured 3 walks a day for several months without showing any signs of deterioration. I am very pleasantly surprised. The only downside is that it's so light that it tends to sway in the wind as it cuts and sags. In general, this is a rather beneficial weakness.
