Review on πŸ“Ÿ Garmin Forerunner 210: Advanced GPS Watch for Fitness Enthusiasts by Jason Wright

Compare carefully before choosing this model.

The Garmin 210 is marketed as "an easy-to-use GPS watch that lets you focus on your workout, not the watch". My last three runs began with feverishly futile attempts to get the watch to search for satellites or just START. I give up and wait for something magical to happen and I try again, try to stay calm but again ZILCH is over. It does not search for satellites and does not start. I have an ugly $210 black plastic watch. Despite my high hopes for this particular model, I do not recommend it to anyone! I had a Garmin Forerunner 201 and 301. Both have worked great for years. I wanted a smaller unit with fewer bells and whistles (because I didn't use them all) so I bought the 210. I really regret my decision. I love that it shows your pace as you run, but I don't like that you can't just turn it on and start the timer (regardless of whether a satellite was found or not). Size and weight are perfect. Functionality leaves a lot to be desired. I would like to buy another model.
