Good but not what I expected for the money

I've been using this clock for the last week and find it accurate and fairly easy to use. I wasn't aware when I bought it that it wasn't a Bluetooth supported watch, which leads to my only negative feedback on this watch. The cable for charging and transmitting is rather archaic. I don't even have a mini USB port. Instead, it has a clip with four pins that don't always make contact when clipped to a computer to load or transfer information. UPDATE: Well, this device got very erratic, showing…

Fancy GPS, Finder & Accessories

I got this watch for Christmas to track my kilometers while running. The first 3 days worked fine, and then died. The screen went blank and I tried to reset it but to no avail. After trying several reset combinations, the following worked: press circle/reset and menu for about 8 seconds, then press menu for 3 seconds, then press light for 3 seconds. This was the only combination that woke the clock. Of course, I was disappointed that I dropped it after just a week. I like the map when you…

This watch replaced a birthday present (which was also Garmin) a year earlier. The strap of the original watch is broken. After a lengthy watch replacement process (I'm still not sure if I ever got my money back) my husband wore the watch for 6 months and now it's broken again. It's said to be waterproof, and after a weekend trip to Hawaii, it's now filled with blisters and "steam" on the underside of the face. So far, my review of Garmin's sports watches has been that they are short-lived and…

not recommended for working gps

This is actually a replacement watch - the first Garmin 210 I ordered died within a month but Revain were happy to send me another one. I hoped it was just a bad watch. Which brings us to this watch that seems to have given up the ghost after my 6K yesterday. I've had my Garmin 210 for about six months now and have run two half marathons and several other shorter runs in that time; It's really not that much wear and tear that it fails. Unfortunately I've had a blank screen before and there were

Compare carefully before choosing this model.

The Garmin 210 is marketed as "an easy-to-use GPS watch that lets you focus on your workout, not the watch". My last three runs began with feverishly futile attempts to get the watch to search for satellites or just START. I give up and wait for something magical to happen and I try again, try to stay calm but again ZILCH is over. It does not search for satellites and does not start. I have an ugly $210 black plastic watch. Despite my high hopes for this particular model, I do not recommend it…

Not worth owning, frustrating and unreliable

It is reliable and the heart rate monitor works very well for me. The interface and functionality are great, and I found it to find GPS satellites relatively quickly. However, the charging clip/USB connection is almost fatal. Connect safely and completely difficult. You need to keep a close eye on the watch face to know you have a good connection, and you need to be careful not to miss that connection when setting up. I kept finding the watch dead when it should be fully charged. With a better…

Easy to use, works well.

I struggled for weeks which GPS watch to get finally settled on 210, the other watch seemed to have 1001 settings that I needed to adjust while the others only show distance. The 210 strikes an excellent balance between ease of use and essential features. Advantages: >> Stupidly just turn it on and let it run. One push of a button and it searches for satellites and is ready to start the timer. >> Portable style / good size. I wouldn't feel weird wearing the watch while running and…

Out of production? I know why

I understand why this has been discontinued. That was a problem from the start. Problem 1: Syncing In order to sync the 210 with your computer and Garmin Connect, you must use a clip-on charger, which must fit perfectly. If the tines deviate slightly, it refuses detection. Even if you have it, there are connection issues. I stopped uploading to Garmin Connect every day and started doing it once a week because it's not worth the headache every day. Problem 2: rust. . Running makes you sweat…
