Out of production? I know why

I understand why this has been discontinued. That was a problem from the start. Problem 1: Syncing In order to sync the 210 with your computer and Garmin Connect, you must use a clip-on charger, which must fit perfectly. If the tines deviate slightly, it refuses detection. Even if you have it, there are connection issues. I stopped uploading to Garmin Connect every day and started doing it once a week because it's not worth the headache every day. Problem 2: rust. . Running makes you sweat. Rust will inevitably form on the metal parts, which are small and almost impossible to clean. Maybe this isn't a problem for the casual runner, but if you run almost every day it's a problem because you know those rusty parts will eventually ruin the watch. Problem 3: Screen of Death Shortly before my 210th birthday I experienced a screen of death. The watch was charged for 2 days after I ran the marathon. It was properly clamped (as I learned my lesson earlier). When I used it for a run, to my surprise it was dead. I googled reset methods (which I've tried before and worked) and nothing worked this time. He died at just 10.5 months. I expect my electronics to last longer. I called Garmin and asked for a return. They sent me a refurbished replacement and today I used it for the first time. So far, so good. But their refurbished exchange guarantee is pretty lackluster. Basically if it dies again I upgrade to something better. Problem 4: Problems with the heart rate monitor. My 210 used to sync perfectly with the heart rate monitor. Then it started going through cycles of out-of-sync. I ran my last marathon and according to my Garmin data I seem to have died at about 1 mile. I've decided not to worry about my heart rate anymore as I'm an experienced runner and can measure it myself. I enjoyed using this feature when actively trying to lose weight as it gave me a good calorie count. It would be nice if the heart rate monitor feature was consistent. If you're looking for a heart rate monitor to count calories, I wouldn't look at this. I've recommended this watch multiple times since I first received it and now stepping into myself. I hope no one listened to me and bought one of these because I said it was good. Time has proved me wrong.
