Review on πŸš— Enhanced Double Din Dash Kit for Ford by John Faxon

2002 Ford Ranger BUY IT AND SAVE SOME TIME

I usually only write reviews when a product has 5 stars or 1 star, so keep going. Unfortunately, this was the third kit I tried on my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT. Keep in mind that no matter what kit you buy, you'll need to drill the top and bottom holes in your truck's (all Ranger's) dashboard, so that goes without saying. The first product I tried was Metra. They have good reviews but if you go with this kit your radio will sit almost an inch in the dash once installed. This makes it easier to scroll and touch pins (if you're having trouble). The next kit I tried was the IMC Dash Kit. Came with a deformed bezel (it broke trying to straighten it). Even if you follow the instructions and snap off unused tabs, the radio will not be secure. Stay away from this kit. Again this is your best bet and once you get the right kit it takes about 5 minutes to install (not including Dremel time), enjoy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
