Buy another camera protector on planet earth
Using a dry erase marker on your camera would be more effective than this. The slider doesn't snap into the base, so it conveniently pops out when you show or hide the camera, or just pops out when you're typing. Luckily, the underperforming slider is small and black, so if it falls - and it inevitably happens multiple times a day - it's impossible. Luckily the adhesive is weak enough that it doesn't leave any residue on my work computer. So that was a big plus.
