When I was younger I played a lot of bowling. I've had the same shoes since I was 20 and they look like complete 'daddies' shoes. They did their job and looked way better than regular shoes. I was thrilled to see that bowling shoe styles have come a long way since then. I received them and wondered if I would have problems without the laces, ie too loose without being able to tighten in the right places. I have found that this is NOT the case. They are very comfortable and light. Shoes fit in all the right places (at least for my foot).
