I don't usually look at toilet mounting screws. But after using these amazing toilet screws I was so impressed I couldn't help but share it. I've replaced/repaired more toilets than I would like, but one of the things I've always hated are the mounting screws. Tightening hurts, cutting off the remaining screw (of which there are usually a lot) hurts. Even the small plastic washer that attaches the standard screw to the toilet flange doesn't work as well, making the toilet installation a little more difficult than it needs to be. Introducing Danco Zero Thumb Screws. With Danco zero knurled screws all these problems disappear. These are actually nuts and they are held firmly on the flange. At this point you can measure and make sure the studs really line up. Then insert the rubber guides and install the toilet. Then, the resistance part, put the bolts (remember the flange part is actually a nut) through the plastic washer and screw it in. The washer is your wrench and then you hand tighten it to perfection. Finally put a flat cap on the screw and snap it onto the washer. Simple, clean, no cutting, truly amazing engineering. DO NOT use standard toilet screws, use Danco zero cut screws, these cost extra.
